Improving Your Life By Being Happy

If your looking to improving your life because you’re not happy with how your life is at the moment, then maybe you need to be happy to start with. Unfortunately, many people are not “happy” with their lives and I find that pretty sad. Don’t think I’ll lose any sleep over it because I’m generally a happy person and I focus on the good in my life as well as in this world.

When we let negativity into our lives, it does one thing to it. It makes our lives more negative. Negativity breeds negativity and positive thoughts breed positive feelings.

I’m sure you remember the song from Bobby McFerrin, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. Well that song was tying to convey a message and that message was If you want to be happy, stop worrying. When we worry, we are doing a lot more than that. Worry brings stress into our lives and stress has been linked to top causes or heart diseasecancer and stroke. When we are happy our health is so much better.

We need to focus more on the happy things in our lives. The more you’re thinking or feeling positive, the less you’re negative. Being happy is realitively easy, you just have to be willing to be that way. I have a few tis that may help you on that journey towards a more positive and happyier life. Once you can do that, you can go forward on improving your life.

Be grateful for what you have. Each of us have things in our lives to be grateful for. I know it may be hard to think of all of the things you’re grateful for so do what my family and I do. Get a piece of oaktag paper and tape it to the wall where you can see it. Each time you think of something that you are grateful for, write it down. Don’t write it down in list form, instead write it like you’re scribiling on the wall.You’ll be surprised to see how many things will be on the paper.

News is stressful. How many times have you watched the news and felt your body tense-up? The news channels are ful of negative things and most of them don’t even affect your life in a direct way. So why are you watching it?

A religious connection is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Laugher is great medicine. so laugh and laugh often. Remember the old sayin? Laught is the best medicine.

Express yourself to those around you, most likely they will reciprocate your actions. This is why we have friends. To help us feel better about ourselves.

There’s a quote from Abraham Lincoln that goes like this: “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, he says that, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
